Can any system be integrated?
Anything offering a way in can: an API, a database, webhooks or scheduled exports. Closed systems with none of those are the hard case, and it is worth finding that out during the assessment before promising anything.
What happens if an integration fails?
They are built with error logging, retries and alerts to the team when something is left pending. A silent integration that fails without telling anyone is worse than not having one.
Do I need to replace the systems I use today?
That is not the goal. The idea is to connect what already works, not replace it. If something is worth changing, we make the case and you decide.
